The Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society (MATES) is a respected charitable trust led by renowned educationists, industrialists, business leaders, professionals, and philanthropists. Dr. Nand Kishore Garg (Founder & Chief Advisor – MATES, Chancellor – MAU, Former MLA, Delhi) is the guiding force behind the Society. His visionary leadership and humanitarian approach have played a pivotal role in strengthening MATES and uniting people who work towards the nation’s progress.

Maharaja Agrasen University

Maharaja Agrasen University (MAU), located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, was founded in 2013 by Dr. Nand Kishore Garg in the vibrant town of Barotiwala. The University was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, on 25 May 2013, marking a significant milestone in MATES’ journey toward expanding quality higher education.
Established under the Maharaja Agrasen (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2012 (Act No. 15 of 2013), MAU is set against the scenic backdrop of the Kasauli hills, offering an inspiring environment for academic and personal growth. The University provides a wide spectrum of programmes across Engineering, Management, Applied Sciences, Architecture, Pharmacy, Law, and newly introduced short-term diploma courses designed to meet emerging industry needs.
