Maharaja Agrasen Business School (MABS) proudly hosted the Orientation Programme ‘Adhwan’ held on 31st July 2024 for its newly admitted PGDM 2024-26 batch. The event followed the completion of a 40-day onboarding program, ‘Buniyaad’, designed to strengthen the fundamentals of management and create a common foundation for students from diverse backgrounds before starting the PGDM program.
Buniyaad: Building the Foundation
The ‘Buniyaad’ program included sessions on leadership, current affairs, company presentations, quizzes, and an Entrepreneurship Day. Interactive sessions with industry professionals at Global Consultancy Grant Thornton Bharat’s office provided students with insights into the professional world. This comprehensive induction prepared students for the rigorous two-year PGDM journey, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge.
Adhwan 2024: A Grand Welcome
Adhwan 2024 began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a warm welcome to the chief guest, Dr. Nand Kishore Garg, Founder Chairman & Chief Advisor MATES, Chancellor MAU, Shri SP Agarwal, Executive Chairman – MATES, Shri Anand Gupta, Treasurer – MATES, Shri Rajneesh Gupta, Secretary – MATES, Shri S.K. Garg, Director General MAIMS, Shri J.V. Desai, Director General – MAIT, and Ms. Rajni Malhotra Director – MAIMS.
Dr. Nand Kishore Garg inspired students with his wisdom, urging them to give back to society and embrace the philosophy of “Vasudev Kutumbhkam.”
Prof. (Dr.) Sanjiv Marwah, Director of MABS, addressed the students, emphasizing globalization, the mission and vision of MABS, the importance of technology, and the joy of giving back to society. He introduced MABS Triedge, a unique teaching and learning pedagogy built on three pillars: a strong industry-academia interface, a tech-savvy curriculum, and a beyond-academics learning environment.
Guest Speakers: Inspiring the Future
Mr. Vishal Sehgal, President of the Harvard Club of India, served as the Guest of Honor. He advised students on three key points: building a network with peers, staying humble, and the importance of continuous learning, unlearning, and relearning. He also highlighted opportunities in the emerging sectors of EVs and sustainable energy.
Mr. Pradeep Panday, Director of the Learning & Development Academy at Grant Thornton Bharat, provided insights into the industry and emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities and developing decision-making capabilities.
Mr. Kapil Arora, Director of the Learning & Development Academy at Grant Thornton Bharat, stressed the significance of networking, humility, and practical learning.
