## How to raise a complaint

Write to the Presiding Officer or any member, put a written complaint in the ICC complaint box, or meet a member in person. Every complaint is kept confidential and is not shared without the complainant’s consent.

## What the ICC does

- **Receives complaints** through the complaint box, email or in person.
- **Inquires** into each complaint in a timely, impartial and confidential way.
- **Keeps records** of every complaint and inquiry, in strict confidence.
- **Recommends action** when a complaint is upheld, from a formal warning to termination, depending on the seriousness.
- **Supports the complainant** during and after the inquiry, including counselling and legal help where needed.
- **Builds awareness** of the institute’s prevention of sexual harassment (POSH) policy and how to report.
- **Reports every year** to the authorities: complaints received and resolved, cases pending over 90 days, and training and awareness programmes held.

## Objectives

- Build understanding of sexual harassment through education that keeps the campus respectful and safe.
- Give anyone affected an unbiased, private and supportive place to be heard.
- Resolve complaints fairly and on time.
- Make sure students, faculty and staff know the counselling and support available, and have current information.
